13/02/2012 LOCAL ARTISTS DONATE THEIR PIECES TO RAISE MONEY FOR BARNARDO'S

On Wednesday 22nd February 2012 at 5.30pm Electric Works, Sheffield Digital Campus opens their doors to Yorkshire businesses and art enthusiasts for Sheffield's first networking art exhibition, NET: ART.

NET:ART is a networking art exhibition with the aim to raise money and awareness for Barnardo's charity, host by Cutting Edge Events. A team of four creative and passionate future Event Management graduates from Sheffield Hallam University; plan to expose their guests with elements that ignite the imagination, delivering prestigious art from local artists which shall be entered into an online auction, entertainment and fundraising activities to give their guests the chance to slide down the famous Helter Skelter.

Sophie Maxwell of AW Education is one of NET:ART's guest speakers who will inspire attendees with her story on how she supports those Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEET) at The Really NEET College based in Sheffield. Followed by Russ Danzey, motor sport champion; speaking about his career and how he is making the dream into a reality. This part of the event will reflect on Barnardo's, as they help vulnerable children in the UK to bring out the best in themselves.

Square 5 Ltd, business development and communication specialists, have partnered with Cutting Edge Events to guide them into success with their event through support and advice. Additionally, Children's party planning specialists Sparkles Events and Steel City Promotions; Event Management specialists are providing decorations and theming for NET: ART to ensure that the heart of Electric Works is brought to life!

Krissie Akrill, PR and Communications Manager at Cutting Edge Events explains:

We designed NET: ART in a way which means that attendees have the opportunity to meet a calibre of professionals from surrounding businesses without the awkwardness of walking into a room and being made to talk. Our guests are to be inspired; this theme stemmed from Barnardo's vision, where they hope to enthuse vulnerable children through their projects and activities. We aim to raise money for this worthy charity whilst networking.
